He seems like a competitive enough guy, where not being considered a top player will irk him. I sure hope it does, enough to get him outta whatever funk he has been in since March.

Rittich had a rough night last night but has been stellar otherwise.

For a goalie, getting named to the ASG is more of a punishment than a reward.

Gaudreau frankly doesn't deserve to go, he isn't playing like an all star this year. Lindholm has had the far, far better season but isn't one of the choices.
Hmmm not sure who I'd vote out of those, none of the names really stand out to me at first glance.

Kuemper is also currently banged up with an injury. It's unclear whether he'll be good to go by Jan 25 but looking at the Pacific goalies, it's entirely possible that Rittich could be in line to replace him.

Kostinem and Smith are already used to playing on a team without any defence. Maybe one of them could be the replacement.

Too bad Brady Tkachuk didn't get in. Ott spot goes to Duclair.

Frankly I think Monahan has been more consistent than Gaudreau if you are talking the traditional top Flames.
But on play alone, Andersson would have been a pretty good choice. Maybe Brodie, who has turned in a pretty solid season so far IMO.

The last man in candidates are essentially the next best player on every team that hasn't been named to the all star game yet.
The fact RNH is that guy for the Oilers 20 pts in 35 games while being soft as butter is hilarious.
IMO Pacioretty deserves to go based on the year hes having

TBH, Quinn Houghes would probably deserve the last man in spot.

Yeah. Not a Canucks fan but Hughes deserves that spot, especially since the Pacific only has one d-man

I think the choice is clear.
Doughty.

We have the chance to send Drew Doughty to St Louis for three days to play on a team with Matt Tkachuk, against his will, out of spite, in a year when he flipped off the entire Saddledome and you're making level headed hockey arguments for Quinn Hughes.

Well-deserved honour for Matthew Tkachuk, regardless of the host city. I predict it won't be his last.
Johnny just misses the mark this time around.

#### Drew Doughty. I’m voting Johnny. I don’t care about him earning it. He’s a Flame and that’s good enough for me. Three Flames at the ASG is way better than voting in some clown just to see what would happen (spoiler alert: nothing).
