Yeah, I thought I saw people running near the back of the crowd earlier. There was also four people stabbed in a separate incident.

Hope there's no fatalities. I hope they find the stupid ####### who ruined the day and lock them up for a long, long time.

Sounds like the police have this contained.

There's 2 million people there. I'm totally amazed how well it's going. That's on par with religious gatherings.

Wasn’t there someone shot the night of the game as well during celebrations?

I might be wrongness but thought I heard that as well.

I hope the person shot is ok, unless they are a scumbag.

There was a shooting the night of the clinching game.

I guess the cynical guy in me would say that in a gathering of a couple of million people that's it.

Honestly I expected more.

This happens almost every time there's large gatherings in Toronto. They have major issues with Somalian gangs (not sure if that's the case here). A few music festivals had shootings, including that one with two dead. Drake's afterparty had 5 people shot, two dead.

Even this parade had another incident near Eaton centre with 4 stabbed, but it quickly fell from the news after the shooting right in the square.

Well that's disappointing. But, sounds like the cops have it under control - 2 people in custody, 2 people shot, serious but not life threatening. Considering how many people are there, it's amazing that no one was injured in the rush of people trying to get away, at least not that I've read yet but I only just started looking at this.

Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure gunshots were audible on the broadcast, I just figured they were fireworks at the time.

If true I'm sure someone will post the clip to social media.

I've grown up here and not to completely contradict your statement, but I'm not personally aware of Somalian gangs. I'm sure there are Somali's that are in gangs. I find a lot of violence here in these type of situations are from gang activity from Caribbean backgrounds - ie: Jamaica, Trinidad. But they don't belong to a gang of a particular ethnicity.

Sounds like the latest is 3 people arrested (two guns seized) and 4 people with non-life threatening injuries. Got to be some kind of stupid to do this with all the police resources in the area.
