Position changes and final steps

OK folks
We are getting geared up for the pre-season and regular season.
Your deadline for being cap and roster compliant will be the start of the regular season, so assume early Oct.

The next step is to make any position additions and make sure everyone can run the sim.

Post any questions or problems here

Once you have the editor running use that to send to cphltrade the following:
- Any additional roster additions or corrections. I may have missed some. Some teams also didn't submit corrections so this is your last chance
- Submit any new positions for your players. What shows on the site doesn't matter, you need to look at what positions each of your players has in the sim. Players can NOT play out of their positions. They can play more than one, if they have those positions in the sim
- This is your ONLY chance to add positions. Even if you trade for a player during the season, you cannot add positions. This is it.
- You need to provide a link that shows the player can play in that position. This needs to be from a core site and it must be specific. Meaning "winger" is not enough to justify both RW and LW.
Player profiles from acceptable sites are
- NHL.com
- TSN
- The Hockey News
- Sportsnet
- ESPN
- hockeydb
- Capfriendly
- Rotoworld

Not acceptable
- Articles that make mention of a player's position. We need profiles
- Hockeysfuture
- Eliteprospects
- Junior hockey links to justify an NHL position

If you find another link not listed here post it and we will rule.

The deadline for this is next Saturday 11:59 PM

We will then start pre-season schedule so thereafter

Since we did this last season as well and had to supply links to positions, I'm assuming that we're ok to use the positions listed on last years roster file as well, right?

Sure you can use that from last year.
You should submit for anyone on your team, including the AHL if you think you are going to use them.

A player like Colton Sissons I had listed in 3 forward positions last year. Since that time he established himself on the Preds roster and is now listed as C everywhere. Do we really want to hold onto those old positions that have no links?

If we are allowed to have last years file positions I am of course going to use that. But I would suggest not being able to use last years file. A player is listed as the position or not. Things change from year to year and there's no reason why we need to hold onto all three positions because he played there as a rookie X amount of years ago.

Just my two cents, If the league disagree then it works out better for me.

For the most part, from my review, the positions that were in the sim last year are found somewhere from the legit sources. There could be exceptions but the overall intent is for this to to be too restricted. Given we aren't allowing any changes past this, I'm OK allowing positions from last year as when those were set, there would have had to been some reliable source that showed it.

Rotoworld has Sissons as a RW so you are good there. Haven't found LW though.

Hurricanes position changes have been submitted as well as the Sharks

Hurricanes have also signed 10 ECHL prospects and released 4 players. With those moves and the two trades, the Hurricanes should be set under Cap and within CPHL/AHL/ECHL roster numbers
