And as we’ve mentioned a few times this month on HockeyCentral, keep hearing Heritage Classic in Regina next season

Excellent choice, that'll look fantastic on TV. I'm assuming Oilers and Jets. Sask has more Oiler fans than Flames fans.

I'd rather not waste Oilers vs. Flames on Regina. That's a game better suited for Edmonton or Calgary.

There's a lot of Leafs fans in Saskatchewan. I wonder if Oilers vs. Leafs is a possibility. Or Jets vs. Leafs.

Calgary Winnipeg would be a great game for a Heritage Classic. The Oilers might have a lot of fans but they suck, so....

Went to a Stampeders/Roughriders game this summer in Regina and really loved their new Stadium. Compared to ours it's literally like driving a Tempo and a Lexus. Roughrider fans are lucky (and deserve) a sweet stadium like that. There is no reason why Calgary shouldn't have a CFL Football Stadium just as good if not better with a retractable dome roof.

Anyways happy for Regina that super cool they get a Heritage classic game. While Jets/Oilers sounds as the most logical not sure if NHL wants to do another Oilers/Jets Heritage game so close together. I think it will be Flames vs Oilers

Oilers v Jets seem most logical.

edit: Hmm yea Jets did just play the Oil. I think it's hard to not include Winnipeg, the broadcast of TSN Jets is a SSK region so it would be logical to include the Jets. Maybe it would be Jets Flames?

If its the Flames, I'm there. if not, no thanks.

Given how few outdoor games they've both had, I suspect it will be Jets vs. Flames

Edit - Just realized that its Shannon first to report it, and he's pretty much embedded with the Oilers. Bah.

Doesn't matter who plays, we know the place will be filled with Rider gear anyway.

Dirty Rider gear

Heritage Classic. Jets v Coyotes. Winner gets the original Jets history, loser gets the Thrashers.

Shannon also noted that Dallas is likely to host next year's Winter Classic.

Hope they play Minnesota, and I hope Minnesota become the North Stars for one game.

Yuck - 30,000 people in Rider jerseys at an NHL game.

Edmonton shouldn't be allowed on any national broadcast or showcase event, why are we showing the worst that the NHL has to offer?

I mean seriously, why take the chance that the outdoor game ends 9-0.

Edmonton should be banned from Hockey Night in Canada and be given the loser teams TV deal on NAIT's student channel.

I hate the idea of playing a game in Regina but having experienced the last outdoor game they can have it. It was cool to do once but it really wasn’t anything I’d like to do again.
