He’s signed and will actually move to Halifax this time. Not quite yet as he’s waiting for some things to happen.

That’s very uncharacteristic.
Tillman has been impatient for things he wanted to come to age

Terry Williams has inked a new deal with the Stamps...
The Calgary Stampeders announced on Friday that the club has re-signed the impending free agent international running back and kick returner.
"Terry is a dynamic returner who was an important contributor to our success in 2018 and his touchdown in the Grey Cup is a play we won't soon forget," said Stamps president and general manager John Hufnagel in a release. "I'm looking forward to more exciting plays from Terry, both on special teams and on offence, during the coming season."

So Craig Dickenson goes from ST Coordinator to HC in Sask. Kind of feel bad for him as it's a lame duck situation and he's not exactly been put in the best position to succeed. That said, it's obviously a big promotion for him and it will be interesting to see how it plays out compared to Devone Claybrooks in BC (who I think is very ready and capable to be a HC in this league).

Mexican draft, pressing the players in the CBA, coaches cap. CFL 2.0....Ambrosie seems to be making decisions with the thought that he can change the world through football and because of Canada’s world standing...just seems so idealistic and far fetched, and the NFL with its billions of resources in dollars and marketing and influence, can’t make a decent enough dent in changing grassroots or evolving the tastes of football fans through chsnging the game, or market to and be finding new markets or ways to invent itself.
Not sure how patient CFL owners will be with some of these pie in the sky underfunded plans and ideas that are all costing them money, each of those plans with a small chance at any sort of tangible return, monetarily or otherwise, and even then, 5 or 10 years down the road, if Ambrosie is still around.
So what’s the real reason for the coaches cap? It’s watering down staffs and forcing guys probably not qualified to take roles out of team necessity. I would think internal team budgets dictate salaries for each team rather then the league telling them, and I don’t see how there is a competitive advantage that needs to be addressed when it comes to proper coaching.

Calgary Stampeders Mobile: J.C. SHERRITT JOINS STAMPEDERS COACHING STAFF http://www.stampeders.com/2019/01/28...oaching-staff/
Quote:
The Calgary Stampeders announce the hiring of J.C. Sherritt as the club’s linebackers coach.
The 30-year-old Truckee, Calif., native joins the Red and White after a distinguished eight-year playing career in the CFL. He signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2011 and appeared in 109 regular-season games and seven post-season contests over eight seasons. He was a Grey Cup champion in 2015.
“J.C. was a player I always respected and I’m happy to welcome him to the Stampeders organization,” said head coach Dave Dickenson. “I’m confident he’ll be an excellent coach and I’m excited for the fresh perspective he will bring to the defence and the organization.”

Surprised the Eskimos didn't have a spot for him but I'm happy to have him. He was a really good player that gave 100% all the time which obviously rubbed off on DD.

Also in the article posted by MissTeeks above is the news that special teams coach Mark Kilam has added the title of assistant head coach.

It appears they would have had to let go of a coach to make room for Sherritt.

The Esks would have signed him except they have no room for another coach with the new cap and the limit on number of coaches.

This is very good news - McManis is an up-and-coming LB, glad Huff got him to sign for two more years.

Obscure fact: McManis was a QB in high school (in addition to a LB)... dude can play...
