This team’s lack of success or DeVelopment fall squarely on the management. Sutter will replace treliving this summer.

Mark stone was the one who coulda saved this despaired group. But tre is the smartest guy in the room. He has a chip on his shoulder because he never was an nhl player. Time to get someone in management who knows how to win. Tre is out of his depth. GG Hartley Ward. Some list of hires there buddy.

And what did Phoenix ever win with Maloney other than some equalization payments from the league?

Our ownership is clueless.

I have not seen 1 Flames-Sens game where the Flames have wanted it more. Not one.

KootenayFlamesFan nailed his assessment in the GT midway. These guys are just lazy. Lazy lazy lazy lazy. They won’t do the little things. They won’t go to the corners. They don’t consistently hustle. They don’t consistently block shots or get in lanes. They don’t consistently play for each other. They don’t consistently stand up for one another. They don’t consistently hit. They don’t consistently forecheck aggressively. They don’t do anything aggressively consistently.

Lazy. Don’t want it enough. And if they don’t want it bad enough, they should GTFO. So, blow it up. Again. For the 1,000,000th time. They had a legit opportunity tonight to get back into the playoff race, and that wasn’t even a good enough reason to go hard tonight. Their teammate had his 1,000th NHL game. Not good enough for me to go hard tonight, said the big mans teammates. Just primadonna, pouty feel sorry for myself bs. Brutal. I can’t stand the effort level.

These guys don’t deserve playoffs. They can go lose elsewhere.

I never said he was bad.

I'm saying those top 4.......collectively........will make or break this team.

Lindy is the best of the bunch. But the top 4 overall? Terrible.

Where is your proof he wouldn't have signed here? Not sure I have seen it. Is there a quote where he said I would not sign in Calgary?

He didn't hire Hartley.

This has been an agonizingly bad season of Flames hockey.

I still watch, still with hope at the beginning of each game, even though I know this core of players is not up the task, I still believe that maybe this game will be a fun blowout. But it rarely is.

Hard to find any positives. They outshot the Senators and Gaudreau made a nice play on the Lindholm goal. That's it.

88 passing up that chance in the slot was inexcusable, especially after seeing Lindholm do the same thing earlier in the period!

Play the kids, why would you not at this point in the season?

This is not a well managed team and it’s super frustrating and difficult to be a fan...

They would get steamrolled by just about any team south of the border.

I wonder if Sutter had any idea just how lacking in talent this team is.

Not with the way Montreal is playing...they will probably both go 1-10/2-10 though

Guys, I think we just have to admit to ourselves that the team doesn't have the horses to compete against a top team like *checks notes* the Ottawa Senators?!!?

Right now the Canucks are a better team anyways.

Roster. Prospects. Etc.

I hope they do make it, just to show the Flames owners how abysmal Treliving has built/made this team.

ELITE club

..at pissing opportunities away.

I've given up though. We wouldn't even beat goddamn Ottawa in a play-in.

Despite his assist, Gaudreau was pretty ineffective. Lots of passes into traffic that were easily blocked. Tkachuk - we’ve talked about. Monahan I thought was not bad but he still obviously got nothing done, as did his linemates. They all sort of skate around with energy but don’t really create great chances. Lindholm had a good game I thought.

Lucic had his one moment but overall, not one of his better ones. A real struggle for Hanifin tonight.

Was there a prize for most turnovers?
So tired of marginal efforts by our supposed top players, defensive zone turnovers under next to no pressure, and losing pretty much every puck battle that matters. I was actually kind of hoping Sutter wouldn't pull markstrom at the end;the way they played, they didn't deserve the opportunity to get back in the game with the extra skater (fat lot of good it did anyway - we spent more time chasing the puck than with possession with the extra man).

This year has been gross all around. The only bright spot is that it's shorter than normal.

I'd trade the entire team for the Sens straight across in a heartbeat. One team on the rise.... The other continually on the decline. *sigh*

On defense, it is abundantly clear that:

1) Andersson is in way over his head and was not ready to take on a much bigger role this season.

2) Expectations for Valimaki were way too high, as he is currently way out of his league and rarely looks like he belongs.

I would love this rumour to be confirmed or killed once snd for all.

Maybe Michael Stone could get an honest answer from his bro.
