Man, not a rap fan but he sold 75 million albums and didn't have enough money left for his own funeral, hard to believe.

This one hurts. DMX was one of the first rappers I remember listening to as a kid. He had such an incredibly rough and tragic life and yet was still able to find happiness in it. RIP X, thank you for everything

I was recently reminded of the fact that you can lift 10-15 more at the gym by listening to any of his songs. Not really a rap person but I still knew of him.

I remember buying that album from HMV back in the day and I was blown away by track 1. Still my favorite X song ever. Such an amazing album until some jerk 'borrowed' it from me and never returned it.
The man had his his dark demons and unfortunate his life came to an end like this. One of those artists who helped to define that gangsta' rap sound.

Never liked his later music, but his early 90's stuff is fire.

I just noticed on that last record cover above that DMX's sound engineer was none other than...Prince Charles. Coincidence? No, this goes deeper.

RIP to a legend, DMX spent some time in Calgary filming Exit Wounds I believe (been so long since I watched that movie, can't remember if he had any scenes here). He had a pretty successful acting career for a while as well.

We spun some DMX during our Friday Discord games night and holy, some DMX lyrics do not hold up in 2021.
