Buddy has impressed me on how good of a skater he is for his size.

Agreed on the skating, the GAF factor, the guy seems like a solid player.

He's creating space on the ice for Johnny and Monny, so hopefully he can keep it up and build some more chemistry with those two, so we'll see what happens.

Regardless of his hands, I'm interested to see how this experiment progresses.

Love what he's done so far, hope he gets more playing time. I know he's not a top 6 but I love the energy and that you notice every time he's on the ice! Keep it up!

Really happy to see Robinson rewarded with some NHL games and especially NHL cash (though he is one of the highest-paid AHLers).

While Phillips and Gawdin get the headlines, for my money Robinson has been the Heat’s most impactful all-around forward this season, contributing in all three zones and all man-power situations. Very intelligent player who doesn't cheat his responsibilities, and a great teammate. I don't know if he's anything more than a utility forward at the NHL level, but happy he's at least getting a look.

I like Buddy's game, but him being on the top line just makes it easier to defend Gaudreau and Monahan. He should be no higher than the 3rd line and ideally in the role Hathaway played last year.

He would be perfect for Johnny and Monny and those two would play like they did before. They never needed a star on their line. They needed the size and the puck retrieval and Buddy does that with his size, speed and drive to actually be an NHLer.

Buddy plays an honest, physical game. Reminds me a bit of Ferland (although Ferland wasn't as tall and had a much better shot/release). However, he lacks NHL experience and that's going to limit how much success 13 and 23 will have on a consistent basis.

For example, yesterday in the first period he dumped the puck in but then peeled off for a change while 13 and 23 followed the puck on the forecheck. Because they were late, Nashville excited the d-zone and the Nashville player was able to walk right around a flatfooted Rieder (who had just come on for Buddy) and enter the o-zone. A few seconds later and the puck is in the net.

Robinson is a prime example of how crippling it is to spend big money on bottom of the roster players.
