Agreed.
They are really missing Jordan Brown as an option since getting hurt in a useless game vs Halifax. Pebble isn’t ready.

We are also missing Camargo's creativity in the attacking third today. There haven't been a lot of questions asked of Roberts or the Forge backline.

This might be the worst the Cavs have looked so far, Forge definitely deserve the lead, but plenty of time to even it up.
Definitely missing Camargo and Brown

Ugly match. Carducci looked like the only player ready to go in the second half

Certainly looked as uninterested as I've seen. Malonga looking as useless as he was for the stretch before the last game didn't help as any sort of attacking threat, and some guys are a bit over matched in experience, given how many games they are playing in some positions, due to the injuries and suspensions. But really, especially now, not a a lot to play for.
Barring something odd over the next 6 weeks of games, it will be them vs Forge in the Finals.
Up to Tommy to keep the guys fresh, manage the suspensions or pending suspensions, so they are fully healthy and have no suspensions come the Finals, and ready and full of confidence for those two games. I have no idea whether cards will be wiped out for the Finals, likely dependant on how many the various Forge players have.
Also, looks like tickets are 15$ for Wed. if you bring boxed school supplies for donation. No excuse not to get out if you haven't yet. Weather forecast to be optimal as well, and not another home game for over 3 weeks when the weather may not be so nice in later Sept and beyond.

The One Soccer guys all had Malonga as their top CanPL international player and I'm not buying it. For us alone, I think Büscher has been more consistent. Malonga has obvious quality. He's got a great touch for a big man and he's a smart attacker. He ghosts into scoring positions. There's a reason he has Serie A experience. At the same time, there's also a reason he last played in the Greek 2nd Division. His conversion rate of his chances seems low to me and I like a higher work rate in a striker playing on his own up front.
As mentioned, it's gonna take a Forge meltdown to not see them in the final. Which is good because Cavalry and Forge are the clear top two this year.

Canada Soccer's Disciplinary Committee has announced its decision related to the allegations of racial comments made at the completion of opening leg of the Canadian Championship Qualifying Round 2 Match 5 between Forge FC and Cavalry FC held Tuesday 4 June 2019 at Tim Horton Field, Hamilton, ON.
Mr P Reynders has been charged with misconduct for breaching Canada Soccer’s Code of Conduct and Ethics whereby he allegedly made a discriminatory verbal statement that escaped the attention of the match officials. The Disciplinary Committee finds Mr P Reynders guilty of misconduct and have suspended him for forty five (45) days from soccer and all soccer related activities.
The Disciplinary Committee reaffirms that there is a zero-tolerance stance against all forms of discrimination within the game. Given the serious nature of this issue, the Disciplinary Committee will also comply with all FIFA Disciplinary requirements applicable to this decision, inclusive of the reporting requirements under Article 66(1) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

Slap on the wrist IMO. How Forge responds will be the real question.

To be honest I'm surprised they even did anything. It seemed like they were just gonna let this one fade from memory.

Yeah, I agree with this. I'm glad they took some action, and the permanent mark on his record of having this publicly announced is significant punishment in and of itself.

Back in time for the end of the season. This was always going to be the discipline for the stupid, frankly just sad comment he made. Not sure why it took 86 days to come to this conclusion.
My guess is that guy wasn't likely going to be coming back next year before the incident, and now that it's probably confirmed, Forge can look like they did the noble thing when they part ways this offseason.
But from what I've heard it was pretty cut and dry and players on both sides heard what he had said as the skirmish was going on.

Does CanPL follow a transfer window, or can signings happen throughout the year?

Trying to get confirmation as to whether this is who I think it is, because it's a little earlier than I had anticipated.
I'd be surprised if it's Tofa as I personally don't think he can crack the squad.
EDIT: Yep, not the guy I was thinking. Thought it was too early.

It will be a recognizable name that's signed...not the Italian legend however, sorry Muta.
I'm a tad surprised with the signing.
