The high volume low percentage shooting thing reminds me of another Flames coach of the recent past.........

That's Ferland's game, unfortunately. He skates quite well, looks good on the rush, then tries to force something. He needs to shoot and crash, with the other fwds.

The Flames didn't gain that lead against Vancouver. That was on Loui Eriksson.
And the Flames never had a lead in either of the Oiler games.

Feel like the zone entries at least look good - going in as a group and supporting the puck. At times in the past it seemed like the Flames couldn't gain the offensive zone to save their lives.
Now...they just need to do something with that...

When you're a Flames fan it's never too early for the suicide booth gif.

1-0 Flames for the majority of the game seems like a lead to me.
2-1 after the first against the Oilers on Friday seems like a lead to me.
Or maybe I don't know what a lead is?

I'm very unimpressed by the early looks of this coaching style; that said, it is early.
Also, Johnny is underwhelming for the fourth game.
But ferland is looking good!

That was a nice chance for Chiasson. 4th line is all of a sudden our best line. Go figure.
Edit: Ferland almost scores on the very next rush. I like this trio right now.

Uh they had a lead twice in the second game against the Oilers.

I said they can't gain a lead. Loui Eriksson gained that lead.
But I'll concede that I'd forgotten the 2nd Oilers game's 1st period.

If only the 4th line wouldn't get tired and they can play all 60 minutes.
