I will post instructions on the start of the regular season later today. Assume a starting day of Friday or Saturday

When I set my lines, what else do I need to do besides save to file? I can't get my line changes reflected in these results consistently.

Something's not right then. Are you loading the previous file, making your changes and then saving again? That should be all you need to do.

You're not playing players out of position, are you? That can mess up the saving process I think.

I re-downloaded the roster file, made my roster moves, and then set my lines (saying both rosters and lines were OK), then I saved to file. No players out of position.

My guess is that you were not loading the PRE season file but opening the regulars season file.

There are 3 league files. CPHL1-PRE.stc, CPHL1.stc and CPHL1-PLF.stc

One for Preseason one for a regular season and one for playoffs. The SIM automatically loads whatever your previous opened file was. So you need to actually click "open" and load file when the new league file starts it's season

My bet is that you were on the regular season.

To try it out, open the SIM, click open and load the CPHL1-PRE.stc, file. If I am correct when you go to your team they should have the lineups that you've been sending in.

BUT IMPORTANT

Preseason is now over so when a season begins you must load the CPHL1.stc and that will be good to go for the whole season.

Please ask questions as I know I don't always explain things clearly

Are you also emailing your lines in? in addition to saving them, you need to actually email the file to cphllines@yahoo.com

i have been emailing.

when i download the roster file, the sim does not recognize "CPHL1-PRE.stc" so I have to rename it to "CPHL1.stc" which i imagine is the problem

Sharks finish the preseason going 6-1 and didn't lose after dropping the first game. 5on5 we were just OK with our PP really doing a good job keeping us in games. We didn't blow anyone out but we are also doing a great job limited the amount of shots we are facing per game, this should be attributed to our strength on D and we hope it carries over into the regular season.

Rask was excellent and started every game to give us an idea of the type of goalie he can be with a solid D in front of him.

What specific error does it give you when you try to load the roster file?
