It doesn't look to me like Sutter is planning on going anywhere. When one of the steps in his plan is to become a team that consistently makes the playoffs, it's clear that he isn't thinking just one year ahead.

I never liked Richardson as a player, and really, dislike this hire. I would have preferred a coach like Trotz, who, reportedly, would rather take a year off. Trotz always seemed to get more out of a team than the talent would indicate. The 'Hawks have been underachieving, and I don't see Richardson as the answer.

The Hawks are rebuilding so I doubt a coach like Trotz would have any interest in them.

Plus I'm not sure where Trotz stands on the Rocky Wertz fiasco, I expect any coach with real options may well want some time for the stench to wear off before joining the organization.
