So much fail in this edition of team Canada from the goaltending out. For all the hype Mariner generates he doesn't scream winner or leader as he's been part of sone of the worst playing Canadian junior teams to date.

Dube with 3 scoring chances in first 5 minutes of USA vs Canada. Parsons saves them all.
Fox makes a good play that leads to an USA goal.
1-0 USA

Parsons playing an unbelievable game so far. Just made a great save
Canada has been pressuring for the majority of the period and haven't solved Parssons yet on 17 shots
Dube has 4 SOG by my count.

Parsons stops all 22 shots he faces in the first period; what an athletic guy. I'm really liking this Flames pick!

I honestly feel Fox was the best d man on the ice tonight. Parsons obviously had a great game. Dube was very good as well, he doesn't take a shift off and always trying to push the play. I'm really liking our picks this year.

I wish TSN was re-broadcasting this game. It sounds like it was a good one.

It was a good game despite the lopsided score.

On another note. I have no confidence in Canada's world Juniour team this year. Especially when Jankowski says Strome and Marner are the only guys with chemistry ? What! They have no chemistry. Didn't we learn that last year ? These guys are opposites. Marner plays a quick passing game all rush. Strome likes to slow it down.

The fact that he has played pro wouldn't disqualify him, though. It's officially the "Under 20" championship. Most of the Euros in the WJHC have played pro as well.

Dube has some grit to his game too. He threw quite an elbow on Caleb Jones at the end of the game.

Corey pronman picks Team USA based on his observations at camp. He has all 3 Flames prospects on the team.

Well done Flames scouts! Looks like another banner year at the draft table! Still cannot figure out what changed so dramatically for this franchise to go from one of the worst drafting clubs to one of the better drafting clubs.

Or, according to Todd Button, qualities and traits of prospects were defined during the Sutter years. I will take his word on it.
