Hopefully all the players they will have to move will actually hurt them
already lost their 2nd line center
and please avoid the "shrewd Vegas" comments you only make yourself look stupid
Players are begging to play there, taxes, geography...Its the easiest GM job in the league

It's going to hurt both now and later. I can see teams saying "Yeah, we'll take Martinez... but also your 1st"
Edit - What's shrewd about this? Pietro is good, but it's not putting them over the top. They can't score. Pietrangelo isn't fixing that. He's more wasted cap-space to keep a window open another year or two before the cap problems crumble their depth.

I think this will change Vegas's identity completely. They go from a team that sent waves of 2nd lines at you for the entire game, to a regular strong team that can be exploited through their 3rd and 4th line and their 2nd and 3rd pairing. I actually found their Stanley cup finals team as a really different kind of threat...

CapFriendly has them at 21 players, $1.876M in cap space.
Schmidt's $5.95M out for Roussel's $3M only gives them $4.826M.
