Perhaps BT should have gone after Boucher, Boudreau, or MacClean, Cameron or another tried and tested coach that was on the market. It seemed stupid at the time to hire a young, inexperienced coach for a young, inexperienced team. The results shouldn't be surprising to anyone

Don't we HAVE this guy on the coaching staff?

The players need to pull their head out of their asses and start playing with some compete, this is pathetic.

Remember in 2008 when Denis Savard was fired 4 games into the season. His record was 1-2-1

I suppose that is what happens when you bring in a PP coach that was also fired from his team for having terrible special teams.

That was also his third season.
We're stuck with this dude for at least this whole year, no matter how bad it is.

The same Dave Cameron that is in charge of our pitiful Power play?
If you are talking about the former UK PM I'm down. I'm sure he'd be a better special teams coach than what we have now.

I agree. Might be able to fire Treliving though. Not sure if his commitment to accumulating lottery picks is going to fly longterm.

Exactly!!! Their mistake was bringing Cameron on board, never like his coaching style.

1-3-1 speaks for itself how fabulous Gulutzan has been for the boys in Red.
GA 21 GF 13
PP 1 for 22
These are great results for a coach right
No sugar coating it for Jersey Shore suit boy. This is what the result of his brain numbing system is so far.

Paul Maclean is assistant coach of the Ducks, how can you replace our head coach with someone else coach mid season?
Dave Cameron shouldn't even be on our coaching staff, let alone replace the head coach.

So far this is what I can see from his system – everybody try to come out of the defensive zone together while making a minimum of seven short passes. If all goes well, one of those passes will be intercepted or given away before we reach pass number four.

I'm sorry but if the players keep fumbling and failing to play the system, isn't it on the players more than the coach? Especially given it's only 5 games in having all our main cast. This of course is no excuse to be 1/22 on the PP but 5-on-5 has had glimpses of domination and our PK has been strong.

If nearly every player is fumbling like we are, that's on the coach. They are so lost on Gulutzan's system that nobody is where they are supposed to be and they are losing battles and pucks on small hesitations as they try to process what they are supposed to be doing.
For it to still be this bad after seven pre-season and five regular season games, that indicates a failed system. And that is on the coaching staff.
And no, our PK has not been strong. 77.8% ranks us 24th in the league.

I was just about to say this. If the Flames PP was producing even at the level of last year's league-worst PP, they'd be at 14% and likely at least a .500 team - despite all the other problems.
