Doubtful. Signs point to Pep poaching Ter Stegen.

It would have been nice to see him open the wallet at the Emirates this summer. Nevertheless, I think Arsenal could make a makeshift CB pairing work against Liverpool but, then again, Klopp is definitely a manager that could take advantage of Wenger's most probable refusal to instruct his midfielders to shield the defense. However, Arsenal getting pummeled on the opening weekend due to a lack of preparations might just be too predictable for Arsenal.

don't see it with Bolasie, he's all flash
when he was talked about that Spurs were bidding for him soneone on Sky pointed out, his stats are worse than someone like Chadli on a per 90/min basis, Chadli just doesn't do a bunch of stepovers when he does it
which is somehow worth an extra 10-15m in todays world

If Leicester loses Mahrez, do they get relegated?

nah they've done some smart business this year - Musa is a quality signing up front, Gray and Kapustka are two extremely talented wingers, Mendy is a nice addition to the midfield. Even if they lose Mahrez they are a team in the 8-12 range IMO.
At this point Hull and Sunderland are guarantees to gown IMO with Burnley and Swansea being in danger too.

Well in theory this should be the most competitive year in Premier League history. I think it's likely we see the winner of the league with a point total closer to what Arsenal and Spurs had last year then what we saw Leicester finish with. I think you can make a strong case for 5 or 6 teams winning the league, and another 2 or 3 who could make a run if things break right.

How do you quantify the most competitive season?

Small gap in points between the title contenders, the leader changes numerous times throughout the season, the leader changes nearly every weekend down the stretch and the winner is decided either at the end or very close to it.

I'll let you know in May when the season's over lol. Obviously can't until we see it play out, someone could of course run away with the title, but it just seems like everyone is very close and no one has really separated themselves in this transfer window.

Right, the obvious answers.

Last season, 2012 & 99 , are the quickest to mind.
I'd agree parity is better than it ever has been, despite the spend differences.
Just curious into how you perceived the most competitive season.

Here is a huge preview of the season to come. Some good lines and interesting write-ups throughout.

The ultimate challenge of it all is the Champions League, the greatest measure of club footballing power. In the last decade, only two EPL teams have won the competition: United in 2008 and Chelsea in 2012. Since United were beaten by Barcelona in 2009, no English team has reached the final. It’s embarrassing for a league that calls itself the best in the world and has the money to back that rhetoric.

I think we'll all remember the year Chelsea won the Champion's League and didn't even have to go to the final to do it.

Apparently Arsenal made an offer of £30m. For the reigning PFA winner.
That is bloody insulting.

Arsenal in talks for Shkodran Mustafi. Damn, that would be a great buy.
Where are you Kloppo?

The Mertesaker injury might be the best thing to happen to the team this year if they can pull off a deal for Mustafi.
