Weak, weak call on Neal at the end of the period to give the Grease the PP to start the third.

For those watching the game, how have the Oilers managed to hang on to this lead? Is Talbot standing on his head? Did the inspirational lord and savior McLotteryball tap someone on the shoulder and say "let's go"?

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that Vegas simply hasn't shown up.

Not weak at all. Neal is just trying to start crap and the ref has to keep the game on check. The period was over and he took a run just as the horn went. If that was an Oiler doing that to a Flame right at the horn you'd be screaming.

The spirits of the great 1984-85 season has decided to blow wind and life to our destined childs and give them the needed strength to beat this oppressive expansion team as their road to the cup is painted in blue and orange.

Or yeah, Vegas stinking it up.

Wrong, you play to the whistle or horn. Neal barely touched him. I stand by statement. It was a chintzy call.

Lagace looks hurt. Wouldn't want to be a Vegas goalie right now.

It’s really a no lose situation tonight as long as it doesn’t go to OT. Vegas loses, we get even closer to leaping them. Oilers lose, and well, the Oilers lose. Looks like Oilers will take it so they’re back to being Stanley Cup favorites.

It honestly would not surprise me if the Oilers launch a McDavid only channel. Why bother to watch any other player. 82 games of all Connor, all the time.

Connor still needs 2 more points to catch Johnny and we’ve played less games.

Damn, I wasn't expecting the Knights to win on the road but this is not even close.

One positive though is the Oilers orange crush jerseys look even worse when compared to the cool new Golden Knights jerseys.

Geez, the VGK goaltending situation is getting embarrassing. Throwing a 19 year old 7th round draft pick out there? The storybook start is great and all but it's going to turn sour real quick... when is Fleury coming back?

This rout might be a blessing in disguise - sending the LVGK crashing down to earth in spectacular fashion while inflating the Oilers egos to the point where they are all demonstrating the Dunning Kruger effect for the next week and a half.
