WCSF: Flames vs. Oilers-Battle of Alberta

One thing is for certain, Flames are not going to get goalie'd this series.

Dallas was such a tough out with their stingy D and brick wall in net, that Oilers defense is gonna feel like easy mode for the forwards. A lot of the repressed offense could blow up this round.

Honestly, this series should be easier since the main objective is to just contain McDavid and Draisaitl. Essentially, do what the Stars did to Flames, to the Oilers. Keep the goals against down to about 2 generally, stay the #### out of the box, and Flames should be the first four wins once again, in ideally less than seven games.

It would be so sweet to shut down the Oilers hype train this year. Because Edmonton is No Good.

Heiskanen is a hell of a player. So Impressed.
The Flames don’t have anyone comparable, so the Oilers …

Flames are deeper at every position and Edmonton doesn’t have half the D or goaltending that Dallas does. Not saying it will be easy, but Flames will handle this I think.

McDavid has 47 points in 34 games vs the Flames. And he’s playing the best hockey of his career. Smith might be too. If Drai is relatively healthy Oilers in 7. If Drai is out or less than 80%, no comment…

If the series stays 5 on 5, Flames win. Flames take too many penalties and it will be an up hill battle.

One other thing, Kane is likely to try a bunch of dirty ######bag kind of things, so the Flames can't let him get under their skin.
