Florida in 6. They got caught off guard by a very game Caps team, and have learned how deep they have to dig to win a series. They won't be caught off guard by Tampa. Plus, they want revenge for last year.

This is the series that will show if the Panthers are truly for real or not. They got worked last year, mostly on special teams, but were missing Ekblad as well. It was a tough and hard-battled series, but they fell short to an elite team. Now Tampa is more of a good team that has the experience needed to succeed, but no longer have all those weapons of a year ago. Still, they shouldn't be taken lightly. They took out a good Leafs team with really strong playoff style hockey.
I worry because the Panthers are not playing the brand of hockey really necessary for a long playoff run, but I think they also learned some good lessons playing a very physical Capitals team. They overcame adversity to show that they are a real contender, albeit one that still has something to prove.
My heart says Panthers in 7, but my head says Bolts in 7. Either way, it should be a helluva series. These two teams do NOT like each other.

Panthers in 6 based on Point likely missing games or not being 100%. Maybe the first round was the hump for the Panthers?

The perfect matchup for the NHL to grow the game in Florida. Panthers in 6.

If Bob brings his A game, Panthers will prevail. It should be a great series.

This comes down to Florida's special teams. They have been awful so far in the playoffs, 0/18 on the PP which is historically bad and the PK hasn't been much better. It's pretty remarkable how horrible they are especially the PP considering they are the highest scoring team in the league.

IMO you have to take a look at the coach running the powerplay when you can't get this amount of talent to be successful on the PP.

They should all get fired just based on special teams lol. It really can't get much worse.

See this is why I'm worried still. This is the exact same pattern they had last year against Tampa bay in the 1st round that led to their exit. They just managed to overcome it this time against Washington. I don't like their chances against Tampa if they have bad special teams.

Yeah, the teams are so close at this stage that you can't have a huge swing in special teams one way or the other. This seems like the hill the Cats will most likely die on if they can't fix things.
