Red lot Viewing Party
EDIT: + hidden discussion on flames ice cream
Plan on going to the red lot viewing party tonight… just wondering how early I should go?
From my understanding it’s first come first serve? So I’m unsure how quickly the first two games have filled up.
Also P.S. totally unrelated, but Calgary co-op now has the flames ice cream and I really want to get some

Believe the gates open at 4:30. Looked like there was still lots of room when I was walking to the Dome for Game 1, and I got there right before the anthems.

I would probably get there at 3pm just to be safe. Plus, then even if you have to sit there bored for 4 hours while no one else is there until 530ish you'll get dibs on a picnic table and can eat your flames ice cream comfortably with plenty of time to do so

Doors open at 4:30 PM. They have capacity for upwards of 5,000 but only hit ~2,800 last game. You'll get in no problem, just may be further back from the screen if you're not entering the Dome.
Prepare yourself for $10 regular cans of beer.

I appreciate the fans that do this. I know I'm old, but it seems like everyone is standing for the entire game and that doesn't look fun. To me anyway.

Haha! I’m a university student but I can see how standing may be a turnoff for many! Anyways, no matter how u watch, I think it’s so great the flames are rallying the community together at the game, or in the red lot, or at the bars, or even at home!!!
