Yep and 1st and 2nd 1 out with Vladdy up and he hits into an easy double play.
All teams will go into slumps during the course of the year. Let's hope this is the only the Jays have.

It’s a long season, they’re playing terrible baseball, they’re still above .500, they certainly cannot continue hitting this poorly with RISP can they? (Repeating This in my head)
Next up, Tampa! The grind continues.

Knew the game was lost when they could only cash in 1 run in the top of the 1st.

Just on averages they can't. The issue is their pitching is already trending back to where it should be. They're going to be at or below .500 really quick if their hitting doesn't heat up. This team was supposed to be able to outhit the issues of average starting pitching and a below average bull pen.

Average starting pitching ?
Their staff was ranked between 3-5 in every publication before the season started

I guess. Outside of Manoah everyone had question marks for me. Gausman is way better than I ever expected but quite a few people questioned if he could play in the ALE. Ryu is what was expected. Kikuchi is what was expected. Berrios is what I expected, but I guess I was lonely on that train of thought (less lonely now).
Two below average, two above average and one close to average. That's what I saw anyhow.

Funny I see the starting pitching as last in the list of Blue Jays problems. I think the bullpen is OK, Thornton is starting to show his true colours, but Richards, Mayza, Cimber, Garcia and Romano are all good arms.
The bats are what is holding this team back right now you have to think it will even out.

Well it's obviously not permanent, Shulman is going to his kids graduation. Seems like a minor gripe.
