Gurriel / Chapman 0/8 with 6 runners left on base. Critical moments were not being able to cash in Espinal at 3rd with none out and Zimmer at 3rd with 1 out.

Tapia getting 5 AB and Vladdy getting 4 is yet another example of lineup construction incompetence.
In a 1 run game it makes a huge difference.
Get Vlad up to the 2 spot ASAP and stop screwing around

Man were Chapman and Lourdes ever duds tonight.
And there is little hope for Tapia to do very much better with the wild swings he takes, and Zimmer is just beyond hopeless. Other than bunting he's just a total automatic out.

Baseball is just crap luck sometimes.
Kirk on with a guy at 3rd, no outs and the infield drawn in....rips a line drive right at the 2B.
Bottom half of the inning, Berrios is one strike from getting out of a jam and the Cleveland batter reaches for a pitch 6 inches outside with the weakest most pathetic swing I've ever seen and manages to slap it down the 3rd baseline and Cleveland goes on to score 3 runs.
The Jays are getting BABIPed pretty hard this week.

Whoa whoa I though Tapia was a good hitter ? Clearly
Makes sense to bat a guy with - checks stats- .227 OBP lead off
But he’s not one of the worst hitters according to some … and apparently Montoya
He’s now 199th out of 211 players in OPS - universally
Recognized as the measure of a batters offensive ability
The only thing more embarrassing then seeing Tapia bat first is seeing Zimmer in the lineup
I love the players but my god is this hitter getting embarrassing.

Honestly probably not a bad thing for these guys to get a day off. It’s been a bit of a grind to start the season.

Well I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that the Jays won't give much run support to Gausman again today.

He will be. They just didn't want him playing 18 innings in one day coming off of an injury.

Yup. Take the under today no matter what it is. Two good pitchers and the wind is blowing in hard.

Turn game on and bases loaded with Tapia up to bat and I'm like well they'll get nothing out of this. Glad to see I was quite wrong

Bieber had 5 outs on 15 pitches. Now 6 outs on 37 pitches and 4 runs down.
Good inning boys!
