Default Day 8 (PM of February 11 - AM of February 12)

Women’s Curling starts at 18:05 and should be on TSN or TSN4. Canada (1-1) faces Sweden (1-1). At the same time Japan will take on Denmark and South Korea faces the team from the cheating country.

At 19:00 the Quarterfinals of the Mixed Team Snowboard Cross starts Eliot Grondin and Meryeta Odine are in the third race, Liam Moffatt and Tess Critchlow will be in the fourth race. This will be on CBC. The Semifinals should start at 19:30, the Finals should begin at 19:50.

At 21:10 Canada (1-0) takes on the USA (1-0) in Men’s Hockey, this will be on CBC.

Also at 21:10 Switzerland faces the Cheating Olympic Committee in a Quarterfinal in Women’s Hockey. This should be on TSN2.

Men’s Curling starts again at 23:05, Canada (2-1) faces Sweden (3-0), I’m not sure what channel this will be shown on, but it will be picked up on CBC following the hockey game. At the same time we’ll also have Italy vs China, USA vs Norway, and Denmark vs Switzerland.

The Women’s 4 x 5km Relay in Cross Country Skiing starts at 00:30. Canada’s Katherine Stewart-Jones, Dahria Beatty, Cendrine Browne, and Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt will make up the Canadian team. I’m not sure if this will be on tv.

The Quarterfinals in the Women’s Team Pursuit Speed Skating start at 01:00, I’m not sure if this will be on tv but if it is anywhere it will be on CBC. Ivanie Blondin, Valerie Maltais, Alexa Scott, and Isabelle Weidemann are in the third race.

Men’s Hockey continues at 01:40 with Germany (0-1) facing China (0-1). I think parts of this will be on CBC.

The last Quarterfinal in Women’s Hockey between Finland and Japan starts at 01:40, I don’t think this will be shown live on tv.

The Men’s 500m Speed Skating event starts at 01:53. Canada’s Antoine Gelinas-Beaulieu is in the first pair to race. Calgary’s Gilmore Junio is in the fourth pair, Laurent Dubreuil is in the fifteenth and final pair.

The Men’s 10km Sprint Biathlon starts at 02:00. Calgarians Scott Gow, Christian Gow, and Adam Runnalls compete along with Jules Burnotte of Sherbrooke.

The Rhythm portion of the Ice Dancing competition starts at 04:00, this should be on CBC. 2019 World Junior Gold Medalists Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha are the twelfth pair to skate. Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Nikolaj Sorenson will be the fifteenth pair to skate. Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier will be the twenty-first pair to skate.

Also at 04:00 the first round of the Men’s Individual Large Hill Ski Jumping event starts, this should be on Sportsnet. Calgarians Matthew Soukup and Mackenzie Body-Clowes compete for Canada. The Final will start at 05:00.

Women’s Curling is back at 05:05 with Japan taking on the Cheating Country, we’ll also have Denmark vs Switzerland, Sweden vs China, and Great Britain vs USA.

Run 3 in Women’s Skeleton starts at 05:20, I believe this will be on Sportsnet1. Mirela Rahneva is in ninth place after the first two runs, Jane Channell is in seventeenth. Run 4 begins at 06:55.

At 06:10 the Czech Republic faces the Cheating Olympic Committee in Men’s Hockey on Sportsnet. At the same time Switzerland will face Denmark, I think that will be on TSN, TSN2 or TSN4.

Thanks again CofR!!!

At 21:10 Canada (1-1) takes on the USA (1-1) in Men’s Hockey, this will be on CBC.

I think both teams are 1-0? US beat the Chinese while we beat the Germans.

Yep, you’re totally right. I think I had Women’s curling records on the mind when I typed that out

I can’t wait to watch this tonight!

Quote:
Each team is made up of two snowboarders - one woman and one man - with men competing first and women second. When the first team member crosses the line, the time advantage he holds over the next competitor is transferred to his female teammate. The female athletes then begin their runs in a staggered format, with the time advantage they hold added to the beginning. The first female athlete to pass the line wins the race.
At Beijing 2022, the two best teams from each of the four heats advance to the semi-finals, with the two fastest from each semi-final taking part in the big final.

Theoretically, we should have a good shot at a medal I would think?

Snowboard cross is one of my favorite events but I just don't know if I like this mixed up team relay or any relay for this.

This course looks almost dangerously slow with the snow falling.

Wonder what happened there, the wipeout didn’t look too bad initially.
