Half of this cast should be gone already. They've been hanging around for way too long, using same shticks, same jokes and same everything. And they need to tone down the politics. SNL has become a proxy loudspeaker for the justice Democrats; it is intolerable at times. Go back to making fun of everyone, make it less political, make it more funny–funny and less agenda-driven.

Hate to break it to you, but SNL has always been political and your critisisms aren't new.

I am fairly confident that I've been watching SNL longer than you have. SNL has always made fun of politics. Now they are just political. I hate to break it to you, but there is a huge difference.

SNL has been left-leaning politically since 1975, dude. Most comedy is...as is music, movies, and art in general.

If you think I was talking about you specifically and not general criticisms of the show you've completely misunderstood my point.

Stop mucking up the thread both of you or I'll throw y'all in the bin for a week.
Jeeze.

I'm going to enjoy the episode because Kate is up there with my all time favs, and may be my favourite female performer. It was also great having her openly queer representation on the cast 10 years ago when she started.

Kate getting to sign off in the cold open is a huge show of respect.

Those abduction skits were always great and some of the funniest stuff they have done recently. I don't think I ever appreciated Kate enough in past seasons but it is unfortunate that she is leaving.

I'm going to miss Aidy and Pete as well.

I got a little teary eyed when she said goodbye there. She's easily been one of the funniest people in the history of SNL.

I got a little teary eyed when she talked about her dong hole and her wrong hole.

Kate is very talented and carried the show for a period of time. But I think she’s been focussed on other things and kind of checked-out on SNL for a couple years now.

Aidy has gotten better and better. She is creative and they’ve really allowed her free reign to be her weird self this season. She will be a big loss but they have some other female weirdo’s in the cast now to carry her mantle.

I’ve always been a fan of Kyle. His awkward humour was awesome. His work with Beck Bennett was outstanding.

Pete is the one I have never understood or been a fan of. He’s had a couple of good update segments but his sketches were always garbage and his music parodies are weak. I honestly don’t know what value he ever added to the show.

Kate has probably had that idea as the way to go out for a long time. So good, she was great. Looking forward to a new crew though, time for a change.

She has carried the cast and the show for some time. I was surprised her farewell was not as big and elaborate as Wiig’s.

She was barely on SNL this year, and has been checked out for a while it seems. I think it was a good time for her and SNL to move on

Heidi Gardner and Chloe Fineman have big shoes to fill with the two top females gone. I think Fineman has the potential to be the next star. I like Villasenor a lot so hopefully she gets an expanded role in the future

I know people love to #### on SNL, but I enjoyed this season and I really like the recent cast additions after a few tough years. Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardener, Bowen Yang, Andrew Dismukes, Aristotle Athari and James Austin Johnson is a really solid young group to work with
