I wouldn't want to piss off my great young pitcher (who looked absolutely fine), but okay Charlie

Really should have let Manoah go for it, but at least Romano was nasty today.
High 90's with the wipe out slider going.

The W is more important than any individual player. Manoah was great but needs to be a better teammate there.

Yeah wish Charlie had let Manoah finish the game. It was a rare chance to win and rest Romano who is coming off an injury. Now Romano probably isn't available tomorrow so hopefully they won't need him.

I get and appreciate Manoah wanting to start the 9th. However, the game was still really close and Romano pitches best when he has a clean start to the inning. If Manoah gives up a hit or walk, Romano will have to come in with the tying run batting and it just isn’t a recipe for success.
I’d have preferred to have Romano warming up and say to Manoah after he comes out, “if we score another run or two, will get you back in.”

Yeah I agree with Ben. I feel if this game was 4 or 5 to 1 Manoah would have finished it but he had some hard hit balls today and I really don’t like Romano coming in with runners on. He seems to have some funky things that happen with that.

Went to the game today. Nice quick 2.5 hour win with couple of homers and great performance by Manoah. The roof was closed but they opened it up after the storm had passed. I don't know why they would need a new ball park, its great.

Just want them to get the sweep today, but boy would it be nice to put up 15 hits, 10 runs and win it by a bunch.
Still rocking a negative run differential.

Down 2-0 early.
Not great to see your clean up hitter batting .167.......Teo really needs to get going.

Springer, a good hitter, demonstrates how you counter a shift defence.

Of course Votto hits a homer.
That probably should be enough.

Have to sweep garbage teams like the Reds to make up for losing 2/3 to the good teams they have played recently.
