I've complained, in this thread and elsewhere, about the quality of the supposedly AAA beef at Superstore but I have never bought meat at Walmart before. Is it better quality than Superstore? I might have to stop at Walmart tomorrow when I'm doing my Easter shopping.

I find Superstore to be far superior to Walmart

From your OP in December, I literally had defrosted my roast for a dinner party with family 2 weeks ago and I had it on my mind to find this thread again to thank you
You sir, have done this site a service! Thanks again!

Just picked one up at SStore at lunch. I bought last time and cut in half for me and mama and will do the same with this.

Still have 2 in the freezer from the last sale. No harm in getting another or 2!
Cheers!

Today is the last day for the sale. Probably will be back for Christmas again I'd guess.

Picked up three yesterday. Still got my free turkey from a couple weeks ago for spending over $250. I’m good for awhile!

That's what I hate about the grading system in canada. Way too much can qualify as AAA. We need it to be stricter imo. That's why I loved that Earl's move a while ago to USDA prime, I don't care where it comes from but that prime level in the US is such a high quality I wish Canada had an equivalent

Canada has a Prime rating as well. It is the same standard as USDA.

BUMP!
$6.99/lb at Superstore. Thick steaks in packs of 2. Walmart and CO-OP was running this a day or two ago - not sure if still going on there.
EDIT: A bit more expensive than last time but already cut down and fat trimmed versus the full uncut version the last time(s) I've posted.

I don’t usually pay attention so I don’t know if this is a good deal or not...
What’s it normally priced at?

I admit that I don't pay a ton of attention day to day but I'd suggest that it's normally double, maybe 2.5x when it's not on this sale.
Others probably know better than I.
