Default Truck stolen - 2007 Toyota Tundra (light blue) CBJ-5867

Hi everyone. Have never gone through this before, my truck was stolen and

a) wanted to let people know in case they see it and

b) wanted to know outside of typical insurance/police report what I should do

Open to some help...trying to find a picture of the truck now.

I have heard posting on Beyond or Reddit might help? But there was someone in my community that posted on their neighborhood Facebook page and an hour later my father-in-law called me and said "I think that truck is in front of our house!" Turns out it was less dumped less than a kilometer from where it was taken.
I was messaging the owner and the FIL phone police. Police said not to tell the owner where it was. They said they need to make sure the truck was clear from any possible dangerous persons. And I guess that makes sense. There might have been some cracked-out lunatic sleeping on the floor and they might have to check for finger prints.

Good luck getting your truck back.

If it was me I would never want them to find it. I wouldn't want my car back after who knows what they have done to/in it.

My friend's truck got stolen from Somerset train station and a week later it was found by The Barn in Millrise (like 5 minutes away). The cops held the vehicle for almost a month because the people that stole it basically just needed it to smoke some crack or meth in, and have a snooze, so they had to decontaminate it. I can't believe that's a thing. Isn't there a bridge under which one can consume their crack? Oh, that's right. They closed the crack tunnel.

But it's nice to know that they cleaned the truck. Wouldn't that be nice to go crossing the border a year later and get jacked for a chunk of meth that fell between the seats.

I'm with HG. I wouldn't want it back.

Insurance companies will write it off if they find traces of fentanyl.

I know, I've been contemplating what someone might do to the truck as well.

I'll try local community facebook and a few others...

My car got joy-rided - smokes and beers, and damage to the wheels. Insurance covered the restoration, and I'm happy to have my car back. I don't view it as tainted - how could I give up on her after all she went through?
