I was messaging the owner and the FIL phone police. Police said not to tell the owner where it was. They said they need to make sure the truck was clear from any possible dangerous persons. And I guess that makes sense. There might have been some cracked-out lunatic sleeping on the floor and they might have to check for finger prints.
Good luck getting your truck back.

My friend's truck got stolen from Somerset train station and a week later it was found by The Barn in Millrise (like 5 minutes away). The cops held the vehicle for almost a month because the people that stole it basically just needed it to smoke some crack or meth in, and have a snooze, so they had to decontaminate it. I can't believe that's a thing. Isn't there a bridge under which one can consume their crack? Oh, that's right. They closed the crack tunnel.
But it's nice to know that they cleaned the truck. Wouldn't that be nice to go crossing the border a year later and get jacked for a chunk of meth that fell between the seats.
I'm with HG. I wouldn't want it back.
