No. The ECHL is only for players in the 2/3 years immediately following being drafted into the CPHL. Once they are in AHL/CPHL they can’t go back.

Releasing guys from your AHL team doesn't cost a lot of $$$ so just do that. But I would wait until after UFA season so you have max cap to bid for players.
