Glenn signs in Edmonton. He’s now been on the roster of every CFL team:

Quote:
The deal makes Glenn the first player in CFL history to have been on all nine rosters at some point throughout his career. While the Detroit native never suited up for the Argos or REDBLACKS, he was on both of their rosters temporarily.

I wasn't. He really can't be counted on when you need him.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I still think Buckley has potential and I'd rather allocate money on either the offensive or defensive line than spending it on Kevin Glenn. No offense to Kevin, I like him, but it's just a matter of priorities.

I don't think you can count on him to come up big in a playoff game (what backup can?) but in a regular season game where the starting QB goes down I can't think of a backup that would give you a better chance of winning the game as long as he's surrounded by solid offensive talent.

And Buckley can? I don’t think Glenn could win us a playoff game if required to, but I’d feel much better with him as a backup than Buckley.

Might be the end for him. He doesn’t strike me as someone who would be willing to park his ego for a backup QB role and be willing to make way less money. His only chance is an injury to a starter.

Zach Collaros and Saskatchewan have struck a new deal.

The Riders newest quarterback was scheduled to make $540,000 in 2018, $200,000 of which was due as an off-season bonus February 1. The Riders and 29-year-old pivot agreed to a restructured deal worth $430,000 in hard money including $225,000 up front. There are no playtime incentives in the contract.

A provision in the Canada-U.S. income tax treaty allows international players who maintain a permanent residence south of the border to be taxed just 15 per cent on any signing bonus – much less than their usual Canadian tax rate. That means after some astute accounting work, Collaros comes out with more money in his pocket.

Duron Carter back with SSK.

@IAnHamilton45:
The Roughriders announce they have signed receiver/DB Duron Carter to a one-year contract extension. He was eligible to become a free agent in February.

Lol, so no one in the NFL wanted this joker? Or will he say he didn't find the right opportunity?

He's a superior athlete but he's not a polished route runner and his personality is terrible. Too bad because he has the raw talent to play in that league but the rest of his game is lacking. It's not like he's lit up the CFL as he's never led the league in receiving and has two 1000 season yards (barely). In the two games he started as receiver (the 3rd game he was DB) against the Samps he was held to 3 receptions for 16 yards. Not consistent and polished as the top receivers in the game.

James Wilder Jr. says he won't play for the Argos in 2018, he wants to pursue NFL opportunities and the Argos aren't co-operating.

Good for him. RBs have a short life span. He's one of the top players in the league, they got him for cheap for 1 season, need to pay up now.
