As long as black is a trim colour I think it works. Having a flaming C that is only red and yellow is terrible for contrast in print usage. I just don't want a black flaming C nor do I want black to take over a jersey to the point where it is the dominant colour.

I love the black on the jerseys, I hope they keep it in any future designs. Just say yes to black!

Black looks bad on television.
Jerseys need color.

Not saying they aren't bush league but I viewed this an an excersise to create something different, away from the typical to start a discussion about where designs could go. It's a very rough concept. If someone was paying me I would put a lot more effort into it. I thought of this more like a brainstorming session. I do thank you for your honest opinion though. Too many people are afraid to say what they really think and hurt a designers feelings. I like the truth so I can move on.

By all means, keep expanding on that idea. That's just my opinion, and it doesn't necessarily have to be respected

I like 'em. The concept has potential.
I tend to prefer simpler jerseys, but having a bit of 'flow' on a jersey for the 'Flames' makes sense, and is worth exploring.

I would really like these as a third jersey if we could get rid of the flags on the shoulders.
Kind of a modern take of the old retro jerseys. Has the feel of our retros but includes the deeper red and the black to break up the jersey.

Like the idea (except for 'flames' spelled in the logo), but these remind me of all those 3rd jerseys from the 90s that lasted a year or two before being mothballed. I think the Senators are the only team still using their original 3rds from the 90s, though they tweaked them a bit for the Reebok Edge.
Also there's too many teams with only red and black. Chicago, New Jersey, Carolina, and Ottawa. (Ottawa and Carolina even have identical socks.) Flames need to keep gold.

I quite like the red version of that last one too, minus the "FLAMES" printing added to the logo.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Home:
Away:
(Happens to be the only Jersey in Franchise history Iggy hasn't worn)
Alternate:
However I will add that as we are clearly in a rebuild if we are going to come out with brand new jersey's this is the time.

I really like what this guy did a few years back when this was discussed:
http://forum.calgarypuck.com/showthr...06#post1827406
I don't know, some of you guys think they look like practice jerseys, but with the numbers and names on the back, I think they look pretty good.

Did some of you misread the title as "Design the worst possible Flames jersey"?

I would like to see one of these designs using the old school colours but also adding a thin strip of orange tastefully to the striping. Wish I could do it, but am an idiot. Specifically tvp2003's designs for the home and away take out the black striping and replace with orange piping. bc-chris's designs with added orange to it and DionTheDman's design with orange added. A reverse edition of these with that orange being more of a background colour and still have the red, white, yellow and now this orange as well. http://www.google.ca/imgres?q=vintag...,r:15,s:0,i:98

Alternate Logo?
Does anyone have ideas on an alternate logo beyond the horse-head variants that have been used or suggested?

Every alternate logo I've seen has been nothing short of awful.
Why change a good thing?
