Default Alternative Mail Client for Mac?

Any good suggestions or experiences? I'm not loving Apple Mail.

Does it handle Gmail better? We have two companies and both go through Google Enterprise/Gmail.

It's pretty good integration. Better then Mail.app for Gmail integration. Only 2$ on the Mac App Store- a very small risk.

I've heard great things about AirMail.

I'm clinging to Sparrow for as long as I can but when I can't use it anymore, I'll be moving to AirMail.

Postbox http://www.postbox-inc.com/ has really good gmail integration, supports labels properly and can use gmail keyboard shortcuts. Sparrow used to be what I recommend, and it's what I still use for now just because I'm used to it, but it's no longer in active development so it's not really worth paying for it now.

I still love Sparrow.

Postbox looks interesting though.

Just bought AirMail - so far seems like a great upgrade to Sparrow.

Feels like this is a dumb question but is there a desktop email client with push notifications?

AirMail has a configurable send delay, so you can cancel it if you are the type that tends to smack your forehead seconds after hitting "send" occasionally

AirMail wins.

Just last night I was complaining/raging/whining to my wife that Gmail introduced "undo send" about 3 or 4 years ago and somehow nobody has copied them. That's outstanding to hear.

How is Thunderbird on Mac? I used it way back on a PC machine and it was pretty bloated and meh...is it better now?

I don't find it bloated. Seems to load quick. I don't get into any power-user type stuff but it seems pretty streamlined. I leave it running all the time and has never bogged my system down.

Seems better than when I used it on PC shortly after it first came out. But opera seemed to bloat up as well during that same time.
