Probably due to the changes in the trans-fats regulations.

Muchmusic and music videos in general. they were cheesy, but man were they awesome.
Friday night videos was always a must watch for me.

Non-existence of parental supervision.
My parents would just kick me out for the day. If I was hungry for lunch, come home. If not, make sure you're home for supper... or at least listen for my dad's whistle which you could hear from 10 blocks away. My friends and I would go into the forest behind my house and we'd build the most kick ass forts and rafts to go float around in the swamp (surprising none of us drowned). I just measured out that we'd ride our bikes through trails 3km's away from home where there was caves, cliffs and chasms that at 10 years old was magical. No idea how we didn't get lost or seriously hurt! But now all kids have an alarm that goes off if they go 10 feet from a parent. Has the world changed that much? I'd like to trust my daughter, but she's almost been run over twice in the past 6 months because she can't figure out that cars drive on roads. And now all the kids get to play in are concrete jungles

I miss Calvin & Hobbes. What an amazing comic strip...Do newspaper comics even exist anymore?

I remember my dad getting the Sunday paper in pieces because I dug out the comic section before he got there

Annie’s cheese bunnies are the closest you can find to old school KD.

Going to drop some scienton my boys and cut up some hot dogs in there. FTW!

Crush Cream Soda. Loved it as a kid, almost contracted diabetes upon taking one sip as an adult.

Watching TV used to be so simple. You just keep clicking until you see something you like. Now you can't click through channels. Well, you can, but they take the extra seconds to load, so it's a bit excruciating. Also, TVs are too complicated for kids. God forbid the youngster accidentally hits the source button or something, gotta go get dad to come and figure it out.

I remember the TV at my mom's house. This old Sony that had 12 buttons on the front: 2-13, and a switch to turn it on. I don't know how old I was when I learned how to use it, but judging by my 6 year old daughter's ability to use a tablet, but not the TV, I can say that I was probably much younger than she was when I was operating the TV by myself on Saturday mornings.

What about those really old TV's that your grandparents had with the giant knobs on the front of it to change channels. You'd throw the breaker on it to turn it on, there'd be a big hum, and you would taste metal in your mouth as your body was irradiated.

That's funny as I totally agree with you. Loved going to Pizza Hut. But then in HS I worked there part time for awhile and never went back after.

Street hockey. Every single day.

Then a post-game coke/cream soda mix slurpee.

They were the wonder years.

That's another one. Though its a rare event now, we will still do the boxed mac and cheese, but always the knock off/generic stuff. So much better. We will prepare taco meat and just mix it all up...so good.
