Powerplay Quarterback

I want to play this game, but haven't played any sim city games before. Is it best to play solo for a bit first before joining a CP region? Don't want to destroy other people's cities with my inefficient city planning.

You get to run a practice city, but you could always start your own private region to mess around if you prefer.
Though, you end up tearing apart and rebuilding half your city as you play anyway.

i'd be up for starting another plot as well, i've been practicing in a private region so i won't make all the mistakes i did in morning wood.
would like to communicate more though on region play and strategy, ie. who is going to provide what services, who is going to be heavy industry/power, water city, etc.

I'd be up for a new start on Morning Wood II (or a different region map) as well. We should probably consider using a higher number NA West server, as they seem less busy. I had trouble getting into NA1 last night.

So Top Shelf, I'm loving the Arcology you built, but it's absolutely blitzkrieging my city with tourist traffic (built some casinos to take advantage). I have a population of ~250,000, but have nearly 700,000 tourists a month! It's like my city is having a year-round Stampede.
Traffic is pretty crazy, glad they did the traffic update.

Haha, yeah same here with the traffic. I don't quite understand the mechanics of the arcology though, I thought it would provide Shoppers, Workers, Students but my commercial is still complaining of No Shoppers and abandoning buildings all the time.
When did the traffic update get pushed out?
