Foo is an NHL player. Not sure you could say the same about Kylington yet.

Btw just want to say thanks again Bingo for doing this; I haven’t always participated in the voting of every prospect poll but I have followed these intently over the years and appreciate all of the debate that it brings during the slowest months of a hockey fans season. Cheers to you my friend!

Is Shinkaruk an NHL player? Because he had a good stint in the top 6 during the garbage time of the season...That is all Foo has proved so far in addition to very streaky AHL play. I will be surprised if he sticks in the NHL

Foo wasn't exactly streaky in the AHL. He was not good, at least points wise, for the first 19 games. Then he was consistently good for the rest of the season. It's more like he figured out the pro game and that was it.

Kylington. He's progressed very well the last three years, becoming a little more mature and aware every year. In terms of tools he gives up nothing to NHL all stars, in fact his hands and feet are probably right up there with the best NHLers right now, and at 21 he's still a VERY young defenseman. I think this kid has the potential to surpass Hanifin and Valimaki in his prime, despite the pedigree of the other two. I think he is underestimated because Andersson put up better power play stats on a better power play unit and had the better partner at ES, and I think he is already a better player than Andersson despite being a year younger.

Man I keep forgetting Kylington is only 21. There's still so much room for him to grow his game.

I think it's important to put Foo in perspective, but I wouldn't write the player off either.

You can never use four games at the end of a season for a team playing out the string with injuries as a gauge of what's to come. The Oilers made that mistake for the better part of a two decades, and I guess they're sort of doing it again with Ratty.

He looked good, quick, and smart in those games.

He won't make the team this year, the club is too deep, so his big thing is going to Stockton and doing what Jankowski did last year. Prove he's out growing the league.

Do that and then he'll get a look and see what he can do. His second half plus his cup of coffee was certainly a good sign, but you can't pencil him in.

I have no doubt that Foo is the most NHL ready forward left on this list. The only thing which makes me reluctant to rank Foo higher is his age. Not that 24 is old, it just doesnt leave much more time for development. If he doesnt make a campaign for a roster spot this year, he likely won't crack the nhl the year after.

Kylington for the 4th time. I feel he doesn't get enough love around here.
