Still holdig on to faint hope that Jarvis falls.

But there should be a couple good options wherever the Flames end up.

Maybe the Russian goalie (Akarov?) falls to 17/18? I could live with that.

Gunler, Wallinder, Amirov, Holloway, Zary.

Amirov or Gunler works for me at this slot. Don't omit Ponomaryev or Zion Nybek or a free others down there as well

I like Nybeck but I think he’s a second rounder

I really don’t like it that there is a 37.5% chance that one of the 3 least deserving teams (Edmonton, Pittsburgh or Toronto), will get the first overall pick.
Edit: my bad - I thought there eas no way the BJs could blow it.

We now have a much better idea of what the draft order will look like...

Picks 2-8
  • Los Angeles
  • San Jose Ottawa
  • Detroit
  • Ottawa
  • Anaheim
  • New Jersey
  • Buffalo

Pick 1 & 9-15 (First overall goes to winner of second lottery -- all remaining teams will fill the 9-15 slots in this order)
  • Minnesota
  • Winnipeg
  • NY Rangers
  • Nashville
  • Florida
  • Columbus/Toronto Loser (Carolina receives TOR's pick unless it is #1)
  • Edmonton
  • Pittsburgh (PIT choice to send 2020 or 2021 1st rounder to Minnesota)

Picks 16-31 (Picks 28-31 go to Conference Finalists -- Picks 16-27 go to other teams in this order)
  • Montreal
  • Chicago
  • Arizona New Jersey
  • Calgary
  • Vancouver New Jersey
  • Columbus/Toronto Winner (Carolina will receive if TOR's pick)
  • NY Islanders Ottawa
  • Dallas
  • Carolina NY Rangers (Rangers receive lower of CAR or TOR's picks)
  • Vegas
  • Philadelphia
  • Washington
  • Colorado
  • Tampa San Jose
  • St Louis
  • Boston Anaheim

50% chance one of..

Toronto
Edmonton
Pittsburgh
NY Rangers

..will get Lafreniere

Sickening

Three of those teams already got arguably a generational player by winning 1st overall, and the other one has freebie prospects pick them all the time.

There is a 62.5% chance of a dumb team getting Lafreniere (Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Pittsburgh, New York).

Winnipeg is included because I can't live with that cloud hanging over Calgary's head for the next decade.

Minnesota, Nashville or Florida please (preferably Florida).

I'm okay if it goes to Panthers, Rangers, or Penguins. I'm not okay if it goes to Oilers or Leafs. Everyone else is meh

I really don't like the way that the NHL set up this draft lottery. It just doesn't feel right to me and they really should have worked out some other scheme. I'm not sure if this worked out as intended by the NHL but it doesn't sit right with me. I actually feel pretty bad for Montreal. They should have had a decent chance at #1 but instead they are in the playoffs when they shouldn't have been.

If the Pens win it will be HILARIOUS because that means if the Habs had lost they would have won Laffy.
