I'm pretty sure the "indian reservation" his son talked about is The Pas. Though unless he lived on OCN itself he would have lived across the river from one.

I once asked him on Twitter if it was true that he lived in The Pas and he said it was for a year and that he had to "whistle a song to keep the wolves away".

This is a really good take by Daniel Bryan on Kenny Omega. Whether you're a Kenny fan or not, there really hasn't been anyone like him in the business before.

I really respect Daniel, he's a pretty respectful guy. Even in the Miz 24 series, he was really complementary of the Miz, however he knew he had to egg on the Miz and called him a cowardly wrestler.

On the other side, Miz's speech which was brilliant was off the cuff, and he kept waiting for Bryan to punch him out.

Captain's rewind

So with Japan's recent COVID spike, all NJPW shows are cancelled for the foreseeable future. Wonder if we see more "forbidden door" matches. AEW has already booked an IWGP US Title match of Mox vs. Yuji Nagata (Japanese legend) for next week.

Daniel Bryan's contract has expired and he's been moved to the Alumni section, if this is true AEW should be moving heaven and earth to get him.

Isn't that potentially just a work?

Thought they were playing it up that he has to retire since he lost to Roman on Smackdown, but rumor is he might turn up in NXT eventually.

That's what I thought, too, but it's being reported in multiple outlets that his contract is actually done.

I'm going off of a bunch of sites that have comfirmed that his last day was April 30th.

Now I don't doubt that he'll end up back with WWE, for everything that's said, the WWE has taken great care of his family. I don't doubt that Daniel is near the end of his full time career. So maybe he wants to go work in Japan or have some independent freedom in terms of a last tour. But I believe he'll end up back with the WWE at some point.

Wasn't he saying recently that he was exploring an alternative relationship with WWE? I think people took it to mean he'd do WWE part time, do some Japan, Mexico etc.

Yeah I think he knows he has a great position - why risk it. They'll bend to his every demand. I think I remember saying he wants to be involved in coaching/training after his in-ring career is complete, so there's probably an element to a backstage role coming soon.

I know AEW will throw money at him, I just don't see it happening.

Funny part is he can really fill the role that Jericho used to fill for WWE.

Part timer, that you can bring in to have a high profile story line or match with anybody (face or heel) and you know the work will be strong.

Also a guy that's trusted behind the scenes to help younger talent, while also being a big enough name to move the needle when he comes back.

Excited for it because I like a good bloodbath type match, but on the other hand it sure doesn't feel like the feud has earned it at this point.

That was like a 5 star first half, and then after Sammy's coast to coast it wasnt great

Got super slow and plodding, seeing people climb to the top of a cage to spam submissions ain't it

Jericho falling into what looked like a bunch of pillows and them pretending it was steel just sucked the air out of everything

And it's not that the crashpad was the issue, it's the camera angles making it so obvious,a and the cardboard with the steel paint

Same issue how they showed like 3 guys blading themselves during the match, the production just isnt at the top level for these big matches

I didn't notice the blading, but yeah, that looked like #### at the end.

Completely agreed. Great bloody match, reckless, somewhat sloppy but it worked in the context, but then once Jericho came in, it slowed down and lost momentum (the ad breaks didn't help) I don't know why both companies go for these crash mat endings that are sold like death but look like crap.

And yeah Jericho took his blade out too early and had to hold it in his hand for a couple minutes in the arm bar. Camera of course picks it up clear as day.
