You are completely missing the point here: AS A FANBASE, WE DON'T. When it happens tonight with Neal, you can use that fact as evidence that there is a damn good reason for it.

If there was ever an ex-player that deserves to get hate from the fans it is Neal

Uh
...
why?
For having a down year and getting traded?
For seeing his potential roles usurped by Lindholm (5v5) and Monahan (PP)
For not getting along with a coach who didn't even last half a season past his departure?
For signing a contract, having never been a 200 foot player... and not being a 200 foot player?

Except that you're ignoring the salary cap and roster spots in your comparison which was the whole point.

James Neal stole millions from the Flames owners and fans by not showing up at any point last year. He deserved to be booed perhaps more than any other player in the league.

For not showing up and pouting all year. Dude is supposed to be a professional. He was paid millions to be a difference maker and he was a total no-show.
He stole millions from the Flames and their fans.

He handled everything that didn’t go his way poorly. I have heard from some pretty credible people that he never tried to fit in with the group and left the city whenever he could.
Nice point there at the end 200 ft player. I see why you went that way as the obvious reason he was signed he failed miserably at. He was signed to be a 20 goal scorer (paid to be 30 goal) he scored 7.

I feel a big win for Calgary today. 8-1 prediction with Gaudreau getting 5 points and Bennett, Lucic and Jankowski all getting on the board for goals.

That’s probably the plan. Flames get last change and will want Backlund vs McDerp

If Rinaldo ever caught McDavid with his head down for a huge hit I'd immediately buy his jersey.

I’d buy and extra one and then go to a random Oilers game in Edmonton and throw it on the ice just to remind them.
