Dreger makes a mistake: Isles have not traded Sorokin to Chicago
Looks like the rumors that he wouldn't sign with the Islanders were true. Probably one of the best goalie prospects.

The Islanders have been in a freefall for a while now, after an amazing start. Ever since they were blocked in obtaining Travis Zajac, it was clear that they are in the market for a centreman with some defensive acumen to take over the third line. They have Josh Bailey there now, who is a winger, and Brassard has been a failed experiment.
Most likely, I think that they will end up with Artem Anisimov out of Ottawa, but I'm not sure if he's really that much of an upgrade on Brassard, at this point in his career.

I thought "hmmmm, Jankowski could be attractive to them...". Then I looked at their roster for a RHS RW and no one jumped out at me. I mean, yah, Barzal, but other than that, I'm surprised they've done as well as they have.
