Oilers make a Step for a Haul

The Edmonton Oilers have traded Derek Stepan (and a 2019 5th) back to the Ottawa Senators for Erik Haula. I see them being the same rating, but Haula is so cheap it was worth it. Stepan is a better player IMO long term as he’s more proven, but the Haula contract is worth it.

Stepan needs a raise but we have lots of cap space, his performance is also very consistent over his career. Haula and the Knights keeping up beyond this season is the big question.
