Last time I got a perfect panther I was killed by a Leymone Raiders ambush a minute later.
So after I respawned I went to Shady Belle, killed them all with dynamite arrows and explosive bullets. Then I put their bodies in a pile and lit them on fire.

Unexpected and memorable (and sad).

on my last playthrough, I was sooo close to get ALL of it done. You know, all the camp upgrades, all the outfits, all the challenges, all the cigarette cards, all the stupid animals in Guarma, and the whole ####ing compendium. I killed the Carolina Parakeets, and even got the ####ing Rio Grande Wild Turkey to spawn, which, for some reason, was a pain in the ass for me.
In the end, I ended up 1 short because I apparently hadn't picked up Billy Midnight's pistol. Pain. And also, #### Rockstar for making you play Red Dead Online to get the Platinum trophy. I never did it because #### that ####. As if the other stuff (like, getting mauled by a bear 18 times for some reason) wasn't enough ...

I keep thinking about going back to this. It took me ~two years <!> to finish it. I was recovering from a serious injury at the time and actually remember very little to the point it would be like playing it for the first time.
One thing I remember was my horse dying in a swamp, killed by a mthr##### alligator. For a videogame, I had become surprisingly attached to...whatever its name was (do you name horses in the game?)

When I've bought a thoroughbred or arabian I'd name them. I worked really hard to level them up and bond but they both ended up dying stupidly. Such a tragic waste and I'm probably never going to recover. It's an odd feeling to gain an actual attachment to a video game horse, but I miss them both.
RIP Horsey the Horse and Longface Why? I hope the great pasture in the sky is kinder to you that this world was.

That what I did last winter. Walking up and down the mountain rivers casting a rod randomly or hunting the legendary fishes made a few cold winter nights suck a bit less
Such a fantastic game. Not overly hard to play but a amazingly beautiful world with amazing detail.

A fun way to cause terror and chaos:
Steal a 4-horse wagon like a stage coach, park it headed into St. Denis. Move a distance away but within arrow range and shoot the back with a fire arrow. Chase after it.
The horses go insane and run into the crowded streets totally out of control.

I got into this game late and I'm addicted. I have been playing for... almost a year? I don't get much time to game anymore so it may take me another 10-30 years to finish this incredibly deep game. Initially I was trying to do everything. Now I'm just advancing through the story lines but I do want to go back at some point to do the things I missed. Like hunting and fishing and collecting things and such.
Some people struggle with retirement because they can't find enough to keep them busy. Those people never played RDR2. I hope to win the lottery soon so I can retire early and focus on RDR2! (not quite serious on that.... or am I?)

The roof of the Blackwater Hotel is a great place to shoot people with arrows. You can shoot tons of people without getting noticed.
If you are into that kinda thing of course.
