Boeser and Marchessault are both laughable offers.

Crazy how Fenton looked like he was the next best GM when he was working behind Poile in Nashville...and now he just looks crazy.

I think Vancouver would riot again..........Boeser is their Monahan.

Am I the only one who reads trade rumours as piece they want? Does anyone really believe that all the options are equal and wouldn’t have additional/less picks, prospects and roster players involved?

Random reporter with minimal info: I hear this name would be involved

Fans: THATS IT!?!?!? What an idiot GM!

Plus Calgary is bigger than the twin cities. There aren't too many NHL cities with less of a cultural rep than Calgary but St. Paul is probably one (Edmonton, Buffalo, maybe Ottawa being others).

According to wikipedia (I know) St. Paul is under 400K and Minneapolis is 425K

eta: I see where you got your figure from. It includes a bunch of other areas - 19 counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin. But that's fair, as long as they are contiguous.

I was there last summer and it's a big city - don't forget all the suburbs, like Bloomington. 16th largest Metro Area in the US.

penguins forward phil kessel, who owns an eight-team "yes" trade list, nixed a deal that would've sent him to the wild, sources confirmed to the athletic's michael russo. The veteran sniper apparently has a couple of concerns about playing for minnesota - the biggest one being his belief that the club isn't close to contending for a stanley cup, several people close to kessel told russo.

Moreover, kessel is concerned about who would get him the puck, and wasn't swayed by a phone conversation with wild general manager paul fenton - who tried talking up the team's young players - sources told russo.

I think Kessel would look great on the top line. I would take that chance.

Well if you're not going to contend then be somewhere where the climate is nice.

I would argue Arizona is a heck of a lot closer to contending than Minny too.

Never underestimate the power of an owner to make a GM look terrible.
