Well then perhaps I misspoke. I don't/didn't know the exact numbers/vote results based on party lines. I'm certainly no expert, I just thought it's interesting that it could go that way, and regardless of votes on party lines, it does put the opposition in a pretty sweet spot, where they can say they did everything they did to stop a bad deal, without having to try their had at getting a better one.

But do you think I'm completely wrong on that?
Don't you think there are at least folks on the other side of the floor that are saying "Thank goodness we don't have to take over this ****show right now".?

Ah, well Nigel Farage is still alive and defending the Brexit decision and otherwise continuing to be a useless moron.

I Still think will go the way I assumed it would when Brexit won the referendum. And that is to a second referendum where the majority vote to remain, the UK licks it's wounds, rejoins the EU and in a few years it's like it never happened. Many things have to happen first to get to that point but I think that's where it will end up. I don't think they manage to get a favourable deal nor do I think they will end up leaving with no deal.

Britain will finally learn to deal with it the EU way - when the idiots ("people") vote "wrong", make them vote again until they get it "right". This is why you don't leave important matters to a referendum. They will ask for an extension from the EU and eventually stumble their way to a 2nd vote.

Tottenham’s stadium looks like being ready before Brexit.

The UK needs to understand how unimportant it, and just about every other country in the world is, this is just part of the lesson.
Neither the EU, China or the US negotiates, they offer you the deal, which tends to consist of a lot of bending over with ones trousers down and you either take it or leave it.

Can someone give me some Coles notes? Is there a chance Britain doesn't exist the EU at this point? What is even going on?

Its a reference to the Turtle Race of delays that have plagued both sets of circumstances.

It is my understanding that they have to leave. There is no option for sticking around.

^I understood it the same. I thought the EU had taken the stance the the UK would have to reapply to become a member of the EU again.

The European Court of Justice has ruled that the UK can 'back out of continuing with Brexit' if it wants.

The UK can decide to cancel the whole thing, which without doubt makes the most sense, but to do that they need to get an act through parliament and time is almost out on that, politically the more palatable option is another referendum but for that the UK needs a delay to the leave date and that does require the EU's consent.

If you want to see chaos, back out of a referendum decided by the people.

You want to see an immediate cratering of the British economy to levels of 1930's poverty go through with it

There will be some short term pains for hopefully long term gains. The british people have gone through much worse throughout their history and have perservered, example if you need - world war 2.

It won’t be the end of britain if there’s no deal. They’ll be fine.
