I think the LTIR relief is a murky area that some teams are banking on. Murky in that we don’t really know current state of injuries etc. I believe Boston is an example of this. Don’t they have some injured guys?

Maybe Virtanen's time in Vancouver is coming to an end?

He was put in the AHLer group at training camp today apparently as punishment for not meeting conditioning standards

Well, if youre not going to show up to camp in good condition, dont expect teams to be yammering for your srvices either. That being said, id take a flyer on him in cgy. But that ship has sailed unless Reider or DSP crap the bed in their try out.

Definitely a good showing for Rieder. Would be interesting to see how he performed last summer with the Oilers though.
