glad to see Monny bounce back... really happy to see him hopefully get confidence.

gotta give smith credit; his game has improved... my biggest concern was that he was letting in a bad goal once every couple of games it felt like... once he eliminated that, he's looked good.

sure, its the ducks, but they have been better of late, i think 8-4 in their last 12 prior to tonight... poor season to be sure, but they are playing well currently, so the Flames should get full marks for the win.

can't say enough about the DAG line... just incredible what they've become. Nice to see Neal pot one as well. Gio makes great seem ordinary.

I've been very pleasantly surprised by his play. Not nervous at all when he's out.

Monahan must have been reading CP because he came out with an effort that I haven’t seen in a long time. Excellent game by him, he was the best player on the ice and was everywhere tonight. Team needs more efforts like this from him. Hopefully the 1st line can ride the wave into the playoffs because with all lines firing, this team will have a chance to go for a loooooong run.

Awesome game, watched it on a big delay to appease the wife on a Friday night so skipped a bunch of the filler bits.

Some takeaways:
-Glad to see Monahan break out of his slump
-I am not a big Smith fan, but he is starting to look good again.
-Brodie is a really good 5-6 Dman, and we should keep him there.
-it might have been the 8+ beers but I am pretty sure Hathaway was offsides way before he got his goal...

Regardless great game for the Flames, we pretty much have first locked up so I hope we rest anyone who is even a little banged up

De acuerdo.

Afuera de contexto, donde están tus resúmenes de los Oilers?

The Magic Number over the Jets is 0.5 (1 point) and it's 1.5 (3 points) over the Sharks. They are the only two teams remaining who can still mathematically catch the Flames, but they basically have to win out and the Flames have to lose out.

Winnipeg can max out at 104 points and 48 ROW. The Flames currently have 103 points and 48 ROW. Even if they end up tied in ROW, the tie-breaking procedure considers the season series to be tied, so it would come down to goal differential, which the Flames would win easily.

A single point gained by the Flames or lost by the Jets will ensure they can't pass the Flames. That could happen as soon as tomorrow if the Jets lose to the Habs.

For the Sharks it's technically 1.5 games (3 points), but realistically, it's only 1 game (2 points). If San Jose were to lose to Vegas in regulation tomorrow, the Flames will clinch because it would drop the Sharks' maximum to 103 points and 47 ROW.

There is only one scenario where the Flames and Sharks could be tied and San Jose would win the tie-breaker. That would be if the Sharks win all their remaining games in regulation or OT and the Flames lose two games in OT/SO or win one game in a SO. That would give both teams 105 points and 48 ROW. Because that could only happen with a Sharks' win on Sunday, San Jose would win the tie-breaker for winning the season series.

In every other possible scenario, 2 points gained by the Flames or lost by the Sharks will clinch the Division.

There's 20.

Cmon Smid gets judged unfairly. He had a limited stint here and I thought he was great as a depth defenceman before his neck injury.

Agreed, Smid was fine if not for his injury issues.

I didn't think Jokipakka was that terrible either.

Richie Regehr was also trending up IMO before he ran into injury problems.

Really nice seeing the boys pot 6 and Monahan destroying the Ducks. There aren’t many more teams I hate more than those losers.

Can’t wait for playoffs it’s going to be so much fun.
