The Flames picked the red pill when trading for Lucic. I applaud them for knowing the reality of the situation.

Scorpion, I love the effort you put into most of your threads but this one is of Eklund quality.

I'm not sure if I agree. If we're expecting those sorts of truculent things, why must we actively watch out for them? And if Lucic's goals are expected to be more of a rare occasion, then why should we not be actively looking out for them?

Lucic's first goal will be a big deal when it happens. I just figured I'd turn it into a little game to guess when it would be. The people who are making this thread into a "sad" or "negative" thread are the ones who constantly take every thread about Lucic off-topic with ruminations about his negative aspects. I did not start this thread with that in mind -- I simply wished to open up a general discussion about what we collectively expect to be Lucic's offensive capabilities, which is a discussion that I feel has gone by the wayside.

Milan's first goal of the year will probably be like his preseason goal, a rebound tap-in. Here's hoping it's tonight against Detroit, or Saturday in LA just so that this thread can be looked to as the Jobu that got him going and the line of Lucic, Ryan and Mangiapane builds momentum throughout the year to all finish in the neighborhood of 30 points.

My prediction for Lucic is 9G, 16A and he snags his first tonight.

If he plays like tonight, it won’t take as long as many thought.

First crushing hit: October 3rd vs Colorado
First coming to defense of abused teammate: October 3rd vs Colorado
First fight: October 3rd vs Colorado

I win.

I guess Dec 5th is around Christmas. He hasn't been scratched yet either.
