I love the mental toughness of Bianca. Nothing seems to rattle her.

I don’t know about that. She threw her racquet numerous times in frustration, including one that nearly hit the umpire’s chair and earned her an unsportsmanlike warning

lol. Everybody talking about Bianca, and Nadalfan is all "what about meeeee?" But seriously, that shot was ridiculous.

As far as some of the comments from last night go, I'm surprised so many of you were watching the ESPN feed rather than the international one on TSN2. Because yeah, ESPN's tennis coverage is the most homerific broadcasting combination in existence. Way worse than Sportsnet at the Canadian Open - which isn't exactly outstanding.

As far as the crowd goes, we're pretty bad for it in Toronto and Montreal. I'm fine with the home fans cheerleading a little. Though screaming through someone's serve should just be a straight ejection. No warning.

Yeah, agreed. And she actually complained about it a bit in her post match with TSN, which you have to think her team will mention to the tournament director. Problem is that they don't seem to think it's something they should have to deal with there, because it always happens and it's a big advantage for the Americans.

Anyway. Svitolina through easily, as expected. She should at least pose a challenge for Serena.

The Bianca - Mertens match is scheduled to go at 7 PM Eastern time on Wednesday night. Not sure which TSN channel(s) it will be on, but probably TSN2 and TSN3 if looking to set the PVR.

By the way, the oddsmakers at Caesar's have Bianca and Bencic at 7/2 to win the tourney. Serena is still the favourite at 5/4

My dream scenario at this point is Medvedev beats Roger and Rafa, then takes an American flag out of the crowd and goes full Shawn Michaels and starts doing the "suck it" on the flag and wiping his nose and ass with it, just go absolute full heel. Would automatically vault to #1 on the GOAT list for me.

Stan won set 3, but is down a break in set 4 serving at 1-4. I mean at this point, we need to see Roger vs. Daniil 'Ivan Drago' Medvedev, right?

Edit: Medvedev advances in four sets 7-6(6) 6-3 3-6 6-1

I wasn't watching. Please tell me he did the "soak it in" celebration again.

I wasn't watching either, but I'm sure Twitter will be the go-to source for any funny gifs.

You know what would be great? If Medvedev were to beat Roger and he changes out of his Lacoste tennis shirt into the following shirt to do the post-match interview as the boos cascade down...

Spoiler!

This match made me look up the fastest women’s match.

Steffi Graf once won 6-0, 6-0 in 32 minutes

The craziest thing is Wang had literally zero winners. Not sure I've ever seen that before.
