Default First annual CP Super Mario Kart championship

Hi,

I thought this might be fun, but I don't know how many of you are into this. I know many of you have played Super Mario Kart.

The Idea is that the participants would load an SNES emulator and SMK PAL rom from somewhere.

The game type woulf be Time trial and circuit Mario circuit 1. I know it is hard to stop cheaters but results would be tracked by screenshots on the screen where best times are displayed. Is anyone up for this or is this an idea born dead? Or if there is legal issues with old emulators then this post is probably useless, unless everyone has their SNES and SMK, and the same version of the game.

I would, but I'd need a controller. I haven't played in years, but I played so much that a buddy and used our feet for a couple weeks

Why don't you just play Mario Kart Wii online?

For those of us with Wii's (teehee), I think Super Mario Kart is available in the Virtual Console for relatively cheap.

It is, but you need to buy the snes controller to play.

Or the classic controller (which I actually don't mind). You can also use a gamecube controller if you happen to have one of those monstrosities around.
