SHAWNESSY WAL-MART HAS 4 COPIES OF GH3 FOR $90 a piece.

My Fiancee was just there and I almost got her to buy one just so we could have a second guitar. The guy said that sometime after Christmas they would be releasing guitars without games for wii though so I declined.

Good luck!

Well isn't it always the way it works. Last night I go with one of my sons to do a little Christmas shopping. Got the shopping done and decided to head to EB Games and see what games we could try out. They had Galaxy on the Wii and it is a great game. Meanwhile low and behold they had Wii's and I could have snagged one with ease though they all very rapidly went in the half hour we were there.

Amazing how fast word spreads. One guy walked in and saw the Wii's and said I'll take two. But the limit was one -- poof out comes the cell phone and not five minutes later some other guy runs in and manages to grab one of the last two.

So funny to see the stack of Wii's just dissapear while the two huge stacks of Xbox's and PS3's moved nary a one.

I have been told that HMV stores in Calgary will be getting their new shipment in Monday morning. At least that way when you line up you are inside a nice warm mall.

I've always found it amazing that despite all the differences in world cultures, lifestyles and value systems on this planet, there's always certain constants that can span across all of them, no matter where you are located - the Wii is popular all over the palce.

As an example... at any given time, some high-level gamers in big competitions in Tokyo are playing on the same console as a bunch of businessmen taking a break in a hotel room in Switzerland, who are playing on the same console as a bunch of drunken frat boys in a dorm room in New York , who are playing on the same console as a bunch of waiters in the back-room of a restaurant in Singapore. None of these groups relate to each other in any way or even speak the same language, and are thousands of miles apart and lead very different lives... but they all enjoy playing the Wii. To me, this just seems amazing.

Well, I thought I had one online from BB for store pickup at Sunridge. Then I get a damn email saying my order wasn't filled. What's stopping someone at the store from denying all the internet orders and simply selling them to instore customers?

What a ######ed system.

That is exactly what happened to me TWICE today, once at Sunridge and once at Deerfoot Meadows.

If they're anything like their farm team store, FutureShop, then the problem with trying to buy from them online is that their inventory online updates only once every 24hrs apparently and that's how I got screwed out of buying a Wii today.....*grrr*

The Wal-Mart right beside the Deerfoot Outlet mall had some Wii's as of around 12:30. It might be worth checking out if you're in the area.

I was at Westwinds Superstore on Saturday afternoon and overheard someone ask if they had any Wii. The person working said they had 30 when they opened but 28 were sold by 9am.

It seems like Superstore (or that one) puts out their allotment on Saturday mornings. Get there before 9am

Everytime I saw one this summer I thought I should ahve grabbed one, though I am quite happy to see Nintendo still doing so well with so much more competition now a days.

A friend of mine got 2 wii's from The Source, giving one to a co-worker who's been trying to get 1 for her kids for a while. It's a good bet to try, since most people don't think of going there. I think you can check the stock online, then call to reserve it.

Another suggestion is dell.ca, they had a dell for it a while back.
