This new Ghost album is great, I like it more than Prequelle too.
Something about that guitar riff on Call Me Little Sunshine is so great.
And on the matter of Grey Eagle, saw the Offspring and Gob there maybe 5-6 years ago and I loved it. All standing room, no seats, just perfect. At least it was for that show anyway. Mastodon and Opeth playing their should be great. I've wanted to see Mastodon for a while now.
I don't know. I still really enjoy it and "Kaisarion", "Call Me Little Sunshine", "Twenties" and "Respite On The Spitalfields" are all outstanding IMO, but the new stuff is so overwhelmingly bloated and pompous, I do miss some of their older stuff sometimes. We'll see how it stacks up in the long run, but initially I think I liked "Prequelle" better.
I like it but more because it's kind of an outlier compared to other stuff I typically listen to and there's a bit of an 80's nostalgia factor with a lot of these songs. I wouldn't mind the next album taking a bit of a more dark and heavier approach though.

Slept on Bloodywood's debut album release last month, but after listening to it I'm impressed. Their sound has matured quite a bit since their first few singles, and Dana Dan in particular hits really ####ing hard. And make sure to put the subtitles on for it
Clutch is at the Palace Friday night. Not metal persay, but a ####ing solid hard rock band that isn’t contrived or boring or takes themselves too serious. They’re rad, make it down if you like this kind of thing.

The new album sounds like it's going to be another banger

Zick Zack is classic Rammstein, and a sharp contrast from the debut single which was more of a ballad (and has fueled speculation that they’re packing it in after this one). Still my favourite band, so super stoked for the new album on the 29th!

The Boss Metal Zone is super famous in the guitar community. It's an extremely polarizing piece of equipment in that either you think it's the most unusable, fizzy, farty piecy of crap ever made, or it sounds awesome if you just know how to tweak it/modify it/use as preamp/etc. It started out as pedal for kids in the 80s to try and sound like metallica through their crappy home practice amp, but people have always been finding other ways to use it. Boss has sold over a million of them, but it is very rare to actually see one in a professional rig. I liked the song, so I also hate to say I doubt they actually used one on it.

I was laughing about the conspiracy dip####s passing around the supposed vaccine microchip schematic this summer, I remember when someone figured out it was a section of a Boss Metal Zone. Dummies.
Had to laugh when I saw what Clutch named their new single, awesome.
By the way, I have well over 40 Boss Pedals. I use the Heavy Metal and Overdrives from time to time, Blues Driver the most but haven't touched the Metal Zone since I was 15.
debut album is coming in August. Looking forward to it, their first singles have easily topped everything In Flames have done in recent years.
I don't know about that. I actually thought I the Mask was really good outside of a few songs on the back half. To me Anders > Stanne so while the music resembles 90's In Flames the vocals to me just don't fit as well. Days of the Lost definitely has Colony vibes and is IMO the best of their first three released songs.
I’ve been spinning a leak of Rammstein’s “Zeit” since yesterday and it’s glorious. Darker, more brooding, and a bit heavier than the previous album but with the standard touch of balladry and silliness (Dicke Titten!).

I can't get enough of these tracks. Aaj is really cool too though it's got some really strange audio chime during the lyrics, feels like the mixer fell asleep and forgot to tone it down. All in all a solid album, I love the different style and sound. I pre-ordered a physical copy of the album due out next month and I really hope to see them live one day!
