Didn't they just do this because of the writers strike and they needed to fill airtime? I'm a little worried we just get extended challenges talking alien. Hopefully they actually add a few challenges to each episode.

considering in TAR Canada one of my teams was out in leg 1, winning on leg 1 is a nice switch.

You and I swapped. I went from having the winner of TAR Canada last week to having a team go out on the first leg this week.

Well Alexandra and Sheridan were a disappointment. First wasting time arguing about who should do the roadblock (just pick someone and go with it) and then picking the harder detour because a relaxation massage was too painful for you. I'm kind of glad they went out right away rather than struggle through a few legs.

All right, Greg and John... it's all up to you now! Thought they put in a really solid performance in leg one. Jocelyn and Victor did way better than I thought they would. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them.

Overall, I liked the episode and it didn't seem too long, despite being 90 minutes. I don't know if it was the international destination or the fact that there are still lots of teams. Still not a fan of all 90 minute episodes though.

I ended up watching this split between Wednesday and Sunday night so it took reviewing the episode to confirm my thought of a lack of things for them to do. In an hour and a half, we got a tight rope walk(really no major chance to get ahead/behind) and a choice between a massage(guaranteed 30 minutes) or sword fighting. So really one opportunity with sword fighting to get ahead/behind.

I hope they step it up, becuase it is pretty lame on reflection. I couldn't imagine how many screw ups you'd need to make on the first flight to end up losing. So the only ones really racing after that were the second flight, with no real chance to improve much.

Not too bad. Seemed like more chance to move around in this episode.

I like Victor & Jocelyn...though it looks grim for next episode.

I also like Rob & Corey.

I don't know about the 90 min episodes yet. It really felt weird to see the first team cross the finish line, and know that there is still 40 minutes of show to go. I also liked both of the last roadblock challenges. Both seemed like they'd be fun.

I also wonder if, after a time, they tell the people judging to be less strict. That flower challenge really seemed like that lady wanted them absolutely perfect, instead of 'good enough'.
